UPDATE FROM THE VEGFEST LONDON COMMITTEE [ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 8, 2021]

After 6 incredible years, with so much love & hope we’re saying thank you and farewell!

After much discussion, the existing VegFest London committee and founding members have made the decision to no longer host VegFest London. This wasn’t an easy or quick decision for us to make as the festival was a meaningful experience for all of us to be a part of and we know how much it meant to the community. There were a number of factors that contributed to our decision, including venue availability, committee capacity, the current pandemic as well as the increased availability of vegan products and awareness of veganism since the festival began in 2014.

What’s most important to us as we wind down festival operations is that we express our gratitude to all of you AND invite you to join us in celebrating the 6 plant-powered parties we hosted.

Thank you to our incredible vendor community, whether you’ve been with us from the start or just joined us for the first time in 2019, you were the main event and made the festival experience memorable!

There wouldn’t have been a VegFest London without the amazing people like you that attended the festival each year, who shared about it on social media and invited friends and family to join you. Our thanks to each and every person who took the time to volunteer at the festival and dedicated their time and talents to the planning committee over the years. Your behind-the-scenes support was essential to making the event come to life each year.

Special thanks to the sponsors who backed the festival over the years: The Boombox Bakeshop, Plant Matter Kitchen, Purdy Natural, Booch Organic Kombucha, Rebirth Wellness, Chalice Spice, And Fit, Care Health, Tofu Magazine, Prana Yoga, Benevolent Barn, VegOut*, Organic Works*, UnLondon* *(these businesses/organizations are no longer operating, but they still deserve a shout out).

Thank you to the speakers, emcees, musicians and yoga instructors who shared your talent & expertise at the festival (and our pre-festival events).

To celebrate the 6 years and say thank you to the community, we will be distributing the remaining operating funds as donations to vegan organizations, farm sanctuaries and animal rescues.

We’ll also be putting together a package of resources, passing on our learnings to anyone who wishes to host vegan-related events in the future.
